Read what campers and parents had to say about Summer 'Scapes Camp 2013!

“As my child is only five and a bit of a rambunctious boy, I was concerned that Art Camp would not hold his attention throughout the week (as he is really into sports and dinosaurs). However, he came home every day excited to tell me what he had done and at the end of the week, he told us that he “loved” art camp even more than some of his other camps. I was very impressed with the organization of the camp, and that a professional art teacher was brought in to teach the classes. My son has proudly displayed his creations throughout the house and he already looks forward to attending again next year.”

“My daughter enjoyed the freedom and creativity in the projects.  I’m very happy she was able to participate in Summer ‘Scapes this year!”

“Kacey enjoyed the week so much! Can’t wait for next week’s session!”

“E----- got home from his art show, got out his paint box and painted for hours.  We made an art show out of his dot series, hanging them in the play room.  Since then, he has been illustrating the stories he tells us. Camp inspires!”

“My son enjoyed camp and could not wait to come back in two weeks!”

"This was by far the most enjoyable experience my child has had where she was not with me or another family member.  She felt nurtured and safe and the balance of free-time/structure, independent work/supported work, indoors/outdoors etc. were all perfect for her.  Thank you for such a wonderful experience!"

"She loved the hands-on activities – looking in the garden for specific bugs and collecting them.  She learned so much about different insects that she was very eager to tell us about each day.  Great camp!"

"The Best camp we’ve encountered to date in New Orleans.  We loved how our son brought home really creative craft projects each day, instead of a big arm-load of items on the last day.  He enjoyed himself in so many ways & was calm & relaxed at pick-ups – which indicated to me that he had a great, well-timed day of activities with his counselors - he loved yoga! Everyone  was so nice & accommodating – thank you so much!"

“My daughters had a great time. We’ve hopped around to many camps this summer and they both commented how this was their favorite so far. Always love the creative projects they bring home. We have translucent flower presses hanging in the windows from a prior year and will now proudly display the bug artwork made from natural materials including the twig easel! They really loved the young counselors and Ms. Jolie. Sadly the tadpoles lasted only a day.”

"I would just like to thank you and your staff for providing such a pleasurable experience for my son. He had so much fun at the camp - that's all he talked about. Plus he learned a lot too!"

"My children had an absolute blast last week at camp. We are already looking forward to coming back next summer! Thank you again!"
